Paracorded Cable
Instead of the typical rubber shielding on your controller's cable, have it replaced with any custom paracord you'd like! Any 550 size paracord from Paracord Planet is an option Note: some paracords, particularly those with reflective tracers, can be difficult or impossible to sleeve while maintaining the cable's original copper shielding. You will be consulted if it is necessary to remove this shielding for paracording. |

Trigger Plugs
Trigger plugs reduce the travel time of your triggers, causing a digital press to occur sooner.
Long trigger plugs entirely bypass the analog region, immediately giving digital press. | |
Short plugs provide a shortened analog range before reaching the digital press. |
Trigger Package
Improves the overall feel and consistency of Gamecube controller triggers.
3M Dry Type Silicone Lubrication. This helps ensure smooth movement along the trigger press |
|
Upgraded springs (by Potion). Gives a slightly lighter press than OEM that is easier on the fingers |
|
Backup O-ring Ensures full contact with the bottom of the spring for consistent trigger presses every time, and reduces spring rattling |
Perforated button pads
Add multiple small perforations around the button pad of any or all of A, B, X, Y, L, R. Slightly reduces force required to actuate buttons Example of a perforated trigger pad: |
PTFE tape stabilization
Add PTFE tape along the button shafts and/or trigger shafts to aid gliding and reduce friction. Can be applied to any or all of: A, B, X, Y, L, R
Internally detachable Cable
Instead of soldering the cable directly to the controller motherboard, I will attach a 6-pin JST connector to the board and to the cable. This results in being able to swap or replace the cable more easily, without requiring soldering, while still maintaining the same profile as an unmodified controller. Note that this does not mean the cable is detachable from the outside, it still requires opening the shell to do so.
